Jane Neary, M.D.

Jane Neary grew up in Lawrence, Kansas. She still cheers for the Jayhawks during college basketball season. Her path to medicine was circuitous: after an undergraduate major in English, she worked in a meat-packing plant and then became a librarian.

Facing her thirtieth birthday, she finally acknowledged what she wanted to do for a living and started medical school. She got her MD and completed residency at the Kansas University Medical Center, and then fulfilled another lifetime goal by moving to Oregon. She is Board-certified in Family Practice, and has been working in Lane County since 1991.

When she's not practicing medicine, she's probably working in her garden or out buying more plants. In the winter, she reads.
